Built 1915 by Denny, Dumbarton - re-built post WWI by Vickers Armstrong

2,053 gross tons, Folkestone - Boulogne service

Served as a Minelayer in WWI and as Infantry Assault Ship in WWII. Post war she was used for Government service. Laid up in 1948, finally being broken up in 1950

First cross channel steamer to have geared turbines, which saved a good deal on the fuel bill. "Biarritz" completed 1915 by Denny but immediately taken over by Admiralty. Major refit post-war by Vickers Armstrong, Barrow and took up commercial service 1921.
