This BLIKUR (no 2 ) was built in Søviknes 1965. On this picture she is only one month old, laying at the eastern pier in Tórshavn. I don´t know where she ended her life.
Watch out for the longliner behind her.

BLIKUR - with her original cream colored hull. Later on it was painted black.
When I was in the Navy, on the naval patrol ship VÆDDEREN, in the North Atlantic around 1970 - 71, we sometimes met BLIKUR on her trips between Denmark and the Faroe Islands.
Usually she passed us at a very close range, and her Faroese crew would then often greet us, at open sea - they knew we were in this area to protect their fishing grounds.
I think, she was sold, after the year 2000 by her then owner, to Sierra Leone, but I don't know if the ship is still around.

Still sailing under Honduras flag, Owner unknown, last owner 2000 was Mar del Caribe at Honduras.

Marerud - according to Lloyds, apparently the ship was traded once more in 2000 - from Honduras to Sierra Leone but with no information of where she is today.
