Blyth Import Docks

Well it does look like she is berthed in Blyth harbour south side with Cambois in the background.
Interesting sailing ship with paddle wheels and what looks like a funnel on her?
I think that must of been a very fast ship but does not appear to be loading coal!
There appears to be a tug moored to the right of the picture but it is not clear so Sorry without tugs in the picture I can not help date it, but I am sure someone else will.

I think we may be seeing four ships behind each other in this picture. The paddle wheeler facing right, behind the awning-framework covered ship in the foreground, is probably an ordinary tug, with a single mast forward, aft and inside it lies a single masted vessel (or if not: to which ship belongs the single thin mast ahead of the barques foremast?); then comes the port-painted barque and then a topsail schooner drying her square sails. If any name should be produced, I think it will have to be for the vessel in the immediate foreground, the others are not of any particular distinction. 1906 is not, as I see it, unlikely. Woops! OK Guys now I see it.
If Steins dates are about right then the paddle tug looks like the 'Bothal' due to her size as she was bigger than the 'Earl of Beaconsfield' of the then Blyth Steam Tug Co, both around at that time but not later than 1913.
Keven your picture is just as interesting even with the sunk boat at the buoys, and a rare picture of the RNYC 'Tyne'.

Just checked the postcard and it was franked at Blyth on 7th August 1906.
