Steel ingots being cast. To be rolled into plates, welded into tubes, corrugated and fitted as furnaces in boilers. By some boilermakers somewhere, sometime before 1897. Siemens Martin steel, tough stuff.

Note the boiler with no insulation and the crane operator in shirt sleeves ! I wonder how many burns he got in his working life ? Plus I guess energy was not that expensive in those days ??
