Lovely pic. TSMV built 1948 Bolson of Poole. 64 grt, 72 x 19.5 ft long, 150 passengers. Services from Bournemouth to Swanage,cruises etc. Sold 1967 became Weymouth Belle. Later Souter's Lass at Cromarty, John'O Groats and Fort William. Still in service from Fort William and now on National Historic Ships Register.

Ah, I remember these ! Compared to the paddlers, there seem to be few photos of these little beauties. The distinctive sound of their engines humming up and down off the beach was all part of those long summers in the fifties ! Nice to see one is still going, although I have to say she looks quite ugly, compared to her condition and livery as seen inm the photo.
