Photo taken at Southampton... most likely 1934. The tug is Fed Funnel's CLAUSENTUM. In that year Red Funnel's tugs wore a white funnel livery but reverted to red with black top in 1935. Prior to 1934 her funnel was plain buff. I'm 99% certain... but will leave this open if there is more info to be had! I think it was pretty rare for the North German Lloyd liners to come alongside in Southampton... they usually tendered from Cowes Roads or Southampton Water.

Thanks Stephen. Yes, I never saw the last BREMEN ex- Pasteur berthed at Southampton proper. This one also seems to be flying a Swastika.
