Bremerhaven

A really excellent overview of the Lloyd Werft shipyard in Bremerhaven, so many ships to identify but the only ones I know for sure is the St Colomba and the Southern Cross ex Spirit of London in dry dock.

To the left underneath the mint green tanker is German Research Vessel POLARSTERN.

5 vessels named in a photo 30+ years old is pretty good going.

ST. COLUMBA had a major overhaul at Bremerhaven in April 1986.

When date did the ST COLOMBA arrive at Bremerhaven in April 1986 as I was on the Queen Elizabeth 2 at the time and we didn't leave the yard untill the 20th April 1986.

Arrival date of ST. COLUMBA not further stated on this site, the Lloyd Werft book doesn`t tell either.

If you are talking about the major conversion of QE2 she left the yard on 25 April 1987.

Yes my mistake after looking it up we did leave the Lloyd Werft yard at Bremerhaven on 25 April 1987.
