Just left Goole on her way up the river Ouse about to pass Swinefleet, can anyone tell me if she is still sailing.

Nice photo it was about 1984 when mick whiting bought the Brendonian, you can see by his purple funnel, we always used to ask him if he was on drugs or something to paint a funnel purple, ''just no taste'' Malcombe you must have been stood near my back garden to take that foto as i still lived their in 1984, The white house in front of the Kings Head on the Riverbank...

yes it is a good spot for photo's there i tride to perswade my wife
we should by a house along high street but no luck she said i wouldnt
get anything done!!!. Charlie H has had a good spot for years with some
great photo's.
Glad you like the photo he looked after her ,she alway's looked good.

Yes charlie lived 2 doors up from me (Downriver) I was there about 6 months ago and i see that high st is now a cul de sac, no traffic anymore, maybe i should have kept the house that would have put the value up sky high by now.
if I was into shipspotting in them days i would never have moved, as i could have photoed all the traffic without having to leave the garden....or from the bedroom balcony...

As you say Swinefleet has changed and the prices have shot up,
and Goole Docks is like fort knox with all the fencing they put up
so i try to get up to Swinefleet when i can.
I am going to put some of my old photo's on when i can i had a spell
with slides and have just got a scanner for slides.
