When she was built she was designed for side trawling and the seine net. She had a Grenaa double reel system on the port side, Once you had hauled the ropes were wound onto the one big reel then shot from it. I was aboard her with Sandy Mc Kenzie from Cellardyke. Best Skipper I was ever with. We fished prawns in the winter (occasionally shotting for codlings with the Seine net) and Seine net in Summer. She didn't have the hoodie then, nor the fancy block or satellite dome. Sandy reengined her with a volvo I think as the Cat we had was on it's last legs. It is good to see her lookin' good. The name Bright Ray came from one of Sandy's forebears Drifter.
