no he did not.....
they were not catching any fish,so jesus told them ..cast your nets off the right side of the boat,right side being starboard....
then they caught fish..lol.

I thought He said:"Cast your nets on the other side" but I'm happy to accept your version, Stem. Is it possible that He meant the "right side" as the side where the fish were, rather than the "starboard side"? Thinking on, could this be the reason why superstitious fishermen usually did shoot away on the starboard side?

And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes................

The Sea of Galilee is only 11 miles wide so they must have been fishing inside the limits!
