British Navigator 1951

served on old br. navigator around 1959 as 4th eng. we serviced bunker depots all up the norwegian coast, that was when we had a fishing fleet. the norwegians were very friendly and in winter up in honningsvag the mayor would send a snow plough so we could get into town. remained friends with 2nd eng.40 years after leaving the sea, unfortunately he passed away 2 years ago. it was a very happy ship and hardly ever had problems . I was on the old navigator 1962 joined in the royal docks it was in and out of the suez like a yoyo filling up in aden then back to the meddie supposed to be a 6 week trip 4 months later it went into Mombasa iam afraid I jumped ship there a month later came home dbs on the tintagle castle into Newcastle she was my last ship I had been on Swedish and Norwegians and a few other british ships done about 7 years, then took up trukin for 43 years now living in southern spain retired in 2005, lovin it, just to add she didn't look like that photo when I signed on mind you it was 11 years later
