served on old br. navigator around 1959 as 4th eng. we serviced bunker depots all up the norwegian coast, that was when we had a fishing fleet. the norwegians were very friendly and in winter up in honningsvag the mayor would send a snow plough so we could get into town. remained friends with 2nd eng.40 years after leaving the sea, unfortunately he passed away 2 years ago. it was a very happy ship and hardly ever had problems . I was 2nd cook on the British Navigator summer 1953. She serviced bunker depots then. A regular visitor to Swansea for the power station. 'Pumps' would hang out lines for eels. Up one of the fiords he caught so many plaice that the whole ship's company dined on them that night. Hine.
