When I first looked at the photo and the caption "British Test", I thought it was about the idea that asylum seekers being quized before being given British nationality!

Exactly my thought....but I thought the test was for catering crew. The steward looks like he would have a hard job telling the ketchup from the HP......

I think the Steward is an ex-cunard bedroom Steward, as he has that ten to two stance. I bet he tripped over the galley step a few times with those big feet or knowing they were long trips in them days and being shanghide was not rare, he was maybe hoping to grow into them shoes??

My last BP tanker. Joined her 17.10.76 in Aden, paid off her 1.2.77 in Dubai, then swallowed the anchor.
Great ships, and great crews.
