Nice to see her. She was in her last days when I joined BP in October 1966. Built 1949 by H&W Govan. Scrapped May 1967.

Lovely shot Dave ... the famous "Workhouse" leaving Grain.... single pumproom great stuff ..... a happy ship most of the time ....

I spent 9 months on the British Workman from 0ctober 1956 during the Suez Crisis. Falmouth, around the Cape to Bandar Mashur, crude oil around the Cape to Haifa, fuel oil from Port Augusta to Venice and Trieste, then back around the Cape to Bandar Mashur with crude oil for Swansea. Not such a happy ship then. Capt. Sadler, Ch. Off. Houghton, 2/Off. Jinkerson and 3Off. Green.
