She was a freighter. Originally "Duisburg" (1900; 4,520 grt) of German-Australia Line. Sold 1915 to G Siemers, Hamburg and renamed "Burgermeister von Melle". Transferred to France as war reparation and became SGTM "Mont Aigoual" in 1922. Due to poor condition, never sailed. Scrapped 1924.

May 1922 "Mont Aigoual". 1924 Soc. du Material Naval du Midi, Marseilles. January 1924 Demolition in Toulon, the ship is said never to have been launched and to have laid up in Marseilles.
