Your characteristic (to my mind) message of 'liberation through sail' is very clear here, and is reinforced by your seagulls. The steamship on the horizon seems almost static, unable to harness natural energy. Again, I like the different types of ships and boats - splendid. Donald.
I wonder how much non-painters enjoy that? I recently had to redo a house-painting because the owners of the house could not identify a blob of paint as foliage. (The information I got over the telephone was as follows: "I think the framer we hired to make a better frame must have accidently destroyed the tree in the painting, and then tried to repair it, inasmuch as you nearly paint as good as a photograph." With fast drying, and hard to blend Acrylic, you just have to leave the brush strokes observable of course.
The colours in this one are stunning....
Oh I see you are using acrylics, ...I am just about to try those again as the last time I tried them I gave up ha ha...your paintings certainly work well with these so it's great to see they give such beautiful results !

Yes it's Acrylics on Gesso ground, a Swiss brand: Lascaux, mixed with some 5% Gesso or Swedish Chalk to make it more like Gouache (which diminishes colour intensity and makes brushes wear out fast).
