David, I notice in one of the shots, either Rangitiki or Rangitata can be seen. I can't recall any of the NZS passenger ships in Lyttelton. Can you date the shot?

Taken 7 May 1962, she is the "Rangitiki". I think all the 'Rangi's' plus "Ruahine" were regular callers at Lyttelton as I have photo's of all of them taken late 1950's early 60's. "Dominion Monarch" was the biggest regular caller in those days.
