Looks like a huge wave, and it is not a little boat either.

Thats heavy weather in Winter North Atlantic remember days like that very well. Video other day was not as bad as this, like I said. CARINTHIA was 22,000 tons, quite big ship.

Now THAT is force ten plus.....................

Just starting to see the tops of the swells being blown off. White streaks running down the face of the waves. Rough weather indeed and that is a big ship as well.

Big in 1965 perhaps. It would be interesting to see how the new breed of cruise ships would cope.

Been blowing some time for them to build up to that height. Presumably she was hove to?

I remermber this trip well I was on board at the time 5th Eng quite scary the anchor winches where pushed back a couple of inches steps from one deck to the other all smashed, crew from cabins aft moved to other cabins for safety quite a trip
