A great pic indeed...I dont think its an Holiday as the labour force (women) seem to be pushing the barrels about...trying to figure out were the steam pipe is comming from..certainly letting of a bit of pressure.

Hi Robert....whats the story behind a German, now residing in Ireland, supporting (by the looks of your monogram) Leeds United. I myself was originally born in Leeds and supported them when the great John Charles (Welsh Gentleman) was skipper...thats a few moons ago!!!!!!

Hi Frank the story is this my Father was a captain and he met my Irish mother in Dublin. She moved to Germany when she got married and I was born amd raised there until I was 5. I have lived in Germany myself but like my dad met a Dublin lass and settled down here. The first football match I ever attended was Ipswich v Leeds with my uncle as a very young lad. Although Ipswich were at home there seemed to be more noise coming from the Leeds end and I thought these are the team for me and they have been breaking my heart ever since.

I never saw the Gentle Giant play but I have seen him on DVD and in interviews and he was a true gentleman and a consomate professional footballer. Even in our current plight when I drive up the M62 and take the slip road off the hair still stands up on the back of my neck when I see Elland Road in the distance

Thanks for sharing Robert...have a cousin who I contact now and again on video/webcam..he still lives in the Elland Road region and he is still an avid supporter and gets the same reaction...the last game I went to see was in the sixties whilst on leave from the MN..Billy Bremner, Jackie Charlton,Gary Sprake to name a few...they certainly have had their ups and downs over the years...good to know there is still the loyal fans around.
