Great photo, best one I've seen of her to date. May I ask your permission to add this to my Newhaven Maritime Museum exhibit, detailing the history of her near sister Meeching (1960).

I was told that Cashel and Clonmel were from Appledore, but research shows that, although built to a Burness Corlett/Seawork Ltd design, they came from the yard of Mitchison at Gateshead. P K Harris, Mitchison and Burness Corlett were the partners in Seawork Ltd.

I was AB on the "Meadow" from June 1954 until Dec 1957. Would it be possible to have your permission to take a copy of this photo of the "Carrickfergus" At that time the Belfast tugs were Audacious,Carrickfergus, Meadow, Piper, and the Southampton. This photo brought back many happy memories. Many thanks.
Regards.

Andy,
By all means use this image for your exhibit.
Thanks for the correction on the Cobh tugs, they did resemble their Appledore relations.

Somerton,
Feel free to copy the photo for your personal use.

Alex, Interesting to note that Carrickfergus's near sister Meeching was a replacement for Foremost 22, which was an exact sister of Southampton. Two sets of 'twins'.

Somerton, Many thanks!

Does anyone have any pix of Cashel and Clonmel?

Andy
