I don't ever recall seeing a Shaw Savill ship in Colombo. I presume you were calling for bunkers to/from Australia?

I remember Alaric calling at Colombo to work cargo. Wether it was discharging from Australia, or loading for Europe I can't recall.

Trinco was a fairly regular call outbound for SSA, with some discharge of uk exports into lighters - then backload with tea for Aussie.

We were loading tea for Australia having bunkered at Aden and sailed from Gladstone dock Liverpool. Next ports for discharge were: Fremantle, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Then back loaded Aussie commencing Cairns, Townsville, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Returning to Liverpool via Suez Canal.
