Fair play to you for reminding us what a hive of activity, this little port once was. As fresh as the day it was taken!

Thanks very much.

Well done again Jonesy, yet another classic from Charlestown, they keep popping up every now and then from that neck o the woods, A tiny port but a very memorable one at that..

Some good photos, I have another taken at sea. I was in this little coaster for six and a half months between August 1981 and feb 82, we were in the same storm and very close to the Union Star when she and the Penlee lifeboat met there fate in December 81. An awful night with everyone in the wheelhouse listening to them on there radio link calls etc. We were on our way to Antwerp. I was 18 and a young Seaman from Appledore. Still at Sea now working Offshore Western Australia.
