CHEVRON FELUY at Marseilles

CHEVRON FELUY at Marseilles

In drydock in Marseilles Nov 1975. The worker in the white overall lower left leaves a good impression of a 264,000ton tanker out of the water! Depth of this vessel's hull is about 85 ft. You could have also got a small cargo vessel into this dock ahead of us.

It is quite a strange feeling when you stand underneath a ship of that size!

Yes I agree - I walked right under her hull here and it certainly made the spine tingle!!

Paul,
it was a very dark and eerie place to go inspecting .... no matter how well you KNEW it wouldn't collapse on top of you , there was always that lingering doubt of being squashed FLAT..............LOL

Regards,
Rick
