Peacock class built by Hall Russell, Aberdeen for the Hong Kong service of the R.N. in 1984 as HMS SWALLOW. Bought by the Irish Naval Service in Nov. 1988 and commissioned on 16th Jan. 1989 and renamed LE CIARA Pennant number (P42) P= patrol. Charley
