The earlier one appears to have an upright stem, cruiser stern and accommodation block amidships.

Definitely 1960. 1971 renamed City of Montreal, 1977 sold to Panama renamed Yat Fei. Broken up 79. Regards, Stein.

Certainly City of Sydney. Looks like on trials off Arran, completed by Barclay Curle at Glasgow in 1960, 10,551GT
Renamed City of Montreal in 1971 with her move from Australian trade to Canadadian service.
After 17 years was sold to Hong Kong as Yat Fei.
Scrapped at Kaohsiung 1979

The thread in the forum where these were posted immediately turned into a discussion of an incident concerning the 1930 ship, so there was nothing there concerning any sistership of this one for example. City of Sydney was first of three built by Barclay Curle for Ellermans. Sydney being first in 1960 followed by City of Canberra in 1961 and City of Adelaide in 1964. Small changes latter two had more " Fridge " space and more powerful engines.
