CLAN MacWHIRTER

Steam ship Clan MacWhirter, built in Glasgow in 1918 for Lloyd Royal Belge Ltd, Belgium, and named Ypresville. Sold to South America Steam Navigation Company Ltd in 1919 and renamed Halizones. Sold in 1920 to the Convoy Steamship Company and renamed Willcasino. Sold again in 1923 to Clan Line and renamed Clan MacWhirter.
Sunk by torpedo from U-156 in position 35 45'N, 18 45'W on the 26th August 1942.
