Coastguard Wreathlaying

Coastguard Wreathlaying

The Wellington Coastguard, form after the Wahine was lost, laid a wreath in Korohiwi Bay and the Arahura sounded her foghorn as she passed by.

The sea is flat calm under a clear calm sky just as it was on 11/04/1968

Hi Martin,
They certainly had a very nice day for it. I was on the "Hill" so I could only gaze across using the stations large telescope - a very good turn out . Spoke to Shirley this morning and she gave me a report on the days events.
Regards
Emmanuel

Good one!
I've used that scope so you would have seen me and all.
Shirley is amazing the way she is committed to these memorial days. I caught up with her as well.
