Notice she hasn't got either of her 2 derricks attached, but can see one laid on s'bord side deck. A good plodder and built by one of the groups shipyards. Hullgates being a family business originally with Clelands (Wallsend) and Goole ship building being the other. all run by brothers.
Happy memories indeed!I learned all about multi-skilling on this little ship, 6 hours on 6 hours off, A/B, Cook,a stint in the engine room,as well as watchkeeping on the bridge.
She was used as a drill platform at one time around U.K. A stable coaster in all weathers.
90% she is the ''BRIGHT SKY'' and this pic was taken in late 1973 either in English Chanel or Bay of Biscay. I was serving on her as Chief Officer by that time.
