Coming back to Rafina

Coming back to Rafina

Superferry II (ex: Prince Laurent) is coming back to Rafina, after last October. The colour of the funnel has been changed (now is yellow).
Today (9/2/2008) the weather was very bad, so the ship remained in the port of Rafina and she didn't make her trip.

She looks so much better here than the last time I saw her in the flesh. That was over 20 years ago when she was standing in on the Newhaven/Dieppe run.

Are any other operators abandoning the all-white look? I hope so!

Only, a few number of operators keep on with the all-white look (like "Agios Georgios" -ex: "Hengist", "Artemisia", "Marmari Express", etc).

Great shot Sifnos! I sailed in her from Ostend in July 1985, being on the bridge right up to her Western Docks berth in Dover - good memories! But doesn't she look so well for a ship over 30 years old? Looks quite new!

Here, it is said that it is the most successful ferry ever passed from Greece.
Since 1993, she is the first ship in the route from Rafina to Andros-Tinos-Mykonos.
And her captain, Mr Konstantinos Tzortzis, is really famous, like a star of cinema, between the captains of greek ferries.
