On the middle pier we have BM 12 Sydo, still fishing out of Brixham, also BM 18, the blue one, De Vooruit, which was having a major refit at the time. On the further end pier we have the Zegen BM 198, (or possibly Thalassa) also Moonlighter BM 161. In foreground, BM 228 Inspire. Photo was shot (from memory) early to mid seventies...

Excellent ... I have a few more postcards of Brixham with various vessels.
You may have them already, and there have been disparaging comments about the number of "trawlers" being placed in the galleries.

Good to see you back Trev, Been sunning yourself in tropical climes ?

The boats either side of BM 228 are - blue boat - Richard David - BM 65 & the red boat inside is Margaret M - BM 242. On the other side of the pier from BM 18 is Bootlegger I think (Trev will know for sure) with Jacky J - BM 248 (Yellow dory still in Brixham) under the crane.
On the far pier are (L to R) Joanna C - BM 265 (small amount of stern showing), Thalassa - BM 154, Moonlighter - BM 161 (both as Trev has already mentioned)
& in the row furthest away, Solagratia - BM 188 nearest wall, Mascotte, AMR, Shirley Betty II - DH 50, Shirley Betty III - BM 163 & the angling boat Bonnie Boys.
As for the year, Joanna C & Jacky J were both built in 1980 & Thalassa sank in 1985 or 1986 so my guess is 1982.

As for the comments Raymond, Please keep posting & don't let them grind you down. Surely thats what the different sections are for. I don't like looking at Ocean liners so I don't look in the liner section.
BTW I've spent many happy hours looking at your photos of your tour of Cornwall.

Glad the picture is so fruitful ... I think some people seem to forget just who puts the fish on the table on these great liners; and who saves them when the ship is sinking ... I have no intention of stopping posting. And I say that in good humour.
Nostalgia ain't what it used to be. I know my grandfather used to talk about the "good old days" describing the hard graft and low wages, no leisure. Too many rosey coloured spectacles have been sold, I say. More to come soon. All best to Martin and Trev.
