CORINTHIAKOS

CORINTHIAKOS

This photo received my friend Peter at the flea-market of Berlin-Marzahn.

If possible we want to know her name, flag, owners, ship´s particulars and her history.

Thanks for help.

Very interesting ship. She was built in France, employed in the West Africa trade with rather strong cargo handling gear to load logs, and she was at that time a large ship for this trade.

Completed 1957 by Forges et Chantiers de la Gironde, Bordeaux
for Courtage + Transports S.A. and Soc. Navale Delmas-Vieljeux, Paris
9.004GRT, 13.228tdw, 10.000bhp BW by Soc. Forges + Ateliers Le Cruesot, 2 heavy lift derricks 50t each, 18 derricks 10t

1957 fr. ROCROI
1966 fr. LOUIS DELMAS
1976 gr. CHRISTINA I
1979 cypr. KEHARITOMENI (Photo)

The photo shows her probably in charter for Cameroon Lines ("C")

I like the design of this purpose built ship.

Hello thomasprass,

Thanks for you also. Found this pic in a better quality in SHIPSPOTTING issued by Corveleyn Roger.
Think my friend Peter will be glad for your help. He sailed 2 years with the eastgerman FREUNDSCHAFT which had a similar design.

Kind regards
Norbert
