Crown Rubi

The funnel colours match those of Shoei Kisen K.K. of Imabari, so she should be Japanese, and fairly new, as she has fully-enclosed lifeboats. Haven't got any further, though I'm afraid !

Yes she is Japanese owned by NYK in those times (1985 to 1989).

She is a NYK reefer - looks like one of those prefixed with CROWN fx CROWN EMERALD, CROWN OPAL, CROWN SAPPHIRE and CROWN JADE. There may be others.
