I was on the crystal cube in 1963. I belive it was the first ship to be built as a bulk carrier in the british m.n! or indeed the world.? I await your comments.

How old was the crystal cube in 1963? Stag Line had the Camellia in 1952 and she was built as a bulk carrier by Redheads in the Tyne. Brian Rowlings.

Collided with British Aviator off Newhaven in mid sixties. Sadly one or two crew were killed in a collision which was much studied in later years as a popularly known "radar assisted" collision and led to a revision of the collision regulations.
