The picture of Crystal Jewel after collision put a cold shiver down my spine, I saw that scene on the day that it happened whilst still in a thick fog, and it put a shiver down my spine on that day also. I was a crew member on the Meeching that took her in tow from Beachy Head into Seaford Bay where we beached her.

Lol, no worries Dave, its a great pic from my point of view. might interest yyou to know that I got £860 salvage money out of that job, not bad at the time for a lowly paid AB. Just a pity there were such tragic cir***stances surrounding the collision. Thanks again for another trip down memory lane. JIM
