Frank, She was built as a container ship by Boele's Schps & Mchf-Bolnes in 1967 for Shamrock Shipping Co. Ltd; Belfast. Sold 1980 to Estlandia Maritime Inc; Panama and renamed Estlandia. I don't know what became of her afterwards, Charley

Frank & all,
a bit more info for you - the funnel colours looks like she was on charter to the Atlantic Steam Navigation company at that time ...

Her IMO number is 6706711

She was sold & renamed "Estlandia" in 1980.

From 1989 she had a succession of owners and names but is still sailing today as the Greek owned " Captain Dimitris".

Regards,
Rick

i sailed on her as estlandia, running from goole to portugal with coal, and pallet timber back, the skipper at the time made the mistake of taking extra timber as deck cargo. we ended up ditching the lot into the bay of biscay.she was owned by a estonian guy by the name of [lucas] his son peter lucas was the chief engineer at the time.i believe he [te owner also owned the sister ship the moyle and named that one KAINA ithink

I sailed on the mariyos star owned by marpro, not sure if it were curran or moyle, this was 1978-9 marpro had 4 ships folded in '74. she was not a good job down below, one of my least favourite ships.
