DALLINGTON COURT

Launched on 3 September 1929 by the Northumberland Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., Howden, and completed for Haldin & Philipps Ltd (Court Line) during October. For some reason she was registered under an old company called Framlington Syndicate Ltd. She was a 6889 tons steamer with a triple expansion steam engine which gave her a service speed of 10 knots.
She was sold to J. D. Paleocrassas, Panama in 1950 and renamed Irene and served them until 1965 when she was scrapped at Ghent, Belgium.

DALLINGTON COURT London..
I made three voyages in this ship as AB - from 29th December 1945 to 11th November 1946..
Many better ships than her were sailing the seas at the time but during her first voyage the crew became good pals with each other and that is a good enough reason to sail together for a while longer..
Benjidog has kindly entered my voyage reports from this ship in his Court Line site in SN Directory..
Regards,
Stan.
