Hi Ian

Thanks for uploading this pic of the twinrigger HG 183 "Lene Jane" former "Peder Ott". The vessel was scrapped in 1993 and for the last many years the vessel mainly went for prawns and norwegian lobster all over the North Sea.
The hull was built in Holland 1959 and in the period 1958-60 lots of similar and almost similar vessels came to DK from NL.
The first years many vessels capsized and one storm in 1962 with 3 lost vessels (all hands lost except 2 men..) of this type was the reason for new stability rules for fishing vessels. Those rules came in 1965.

"Lene Jane" had a rather limited freeboard from midship and aftwards...don't think that deck was dry often...

Regards
Ole..
