Dear Tim, thanks for sharing the nice photoes of DIOMEDE and APOLLO. I believe both ships (SHAMSER and ZULFIQUAR) had been decommissioned by Pakistan Navy. Can someone confirm please. Regards. tipahmh

I spent a week in APOLLO as a Deck Cadet and always recall that the CO took great delight in making the pipe "The EAGLE has landed" whenever the Wasp returned from a sotie. Great days!!

tipahmh. Both of these ships are now decomissioned although one of them (not sure which one) Is still at Karachi naval base in a floating dry dock ( can be seen on google Earth).
