Dorit Skou ~ Port Kembla 1979

This one had a nice view of the Blue Mountains as a backdrop. Sadly, had to crop it within an inch of it's life to fit it on. Used to see these ships quite often on the Australian coast in the 70's early 80's. ie the glory days?

Not the Blue Mountains from Kembla..known as the Escarpement as you go North but from Kembla one would see Mount Kembla and Mount Keira..Blue Moutains West of the Emerald City.

Company's name was Ove Skou, based in Copenhagen. "Dorit Skou"was sold to PIL in 1984 and renamed "Kota Ratu", 1996"Bongsan 1"(N. Korea), 2003 "Rak Won" and may still be afloat.
