The funnel says Dover?????????? Where on earth are you getting that from?
Coastie - do you see under the wing of the aft bridge there is a single window? The Cambria did not have that window.
In relation to the Dover - there are many differences between the two 'near sisters', not least of all the window arrangement and the aft wheelhouse being further forward on the Holyhead ship.
The Dover did not come to Dun Laoghaire until released at Dover by the new Vortigern of 1969. By this time, the car ferry service had moved to the new car ferry pier at Dun Laoghaire, bringing to an end the operation from the temporary terminal on the east pier, from where the Holyhead Ferry 1 is sailing in this shot.
Sorry Cambira. My mistake. I hadn't realised that there was also the funny funnel "grill" installed on the funnel of Holyhead Ferry 1. Quick judge! I thought it was only on Dover. And the window arrangement is different!!
