The Europa and Pendennis Castle in Durban Harbour could the tug be F.C.Sturrock?

What sort of winch is that in the foreground? Is it onboard a whalecatcher? - The bridge going to the gunner's position perhaps?

Great set of photos, full of nostalga, & memory jogging even though it`s been around 40 years since I was last in there.
Cheers,

Could be, Stein. Union Whaling catchers berthed over at Salisbury Island in the 60's, though, with the actual factory on the seaward side of the Bluff.

Fantastic Durban. Long stays in port with Ellerman's 'big four' ships and what a run ashore !!! ........and as for those nurses at Addington Hospital ...wow. Can you tell I'm getting on in years ?

its more likely the windsor castle - the pendennis castle funnel was not " tucked " in to the superstructure - with the europa - and its not the fc sturrock tug
