After participating in a parade of ships at anchor in the Mersey for inspection by the Queen on 21st June 1977, EBOE sailed for West Africa and returned to Tilbury to discharge her final Elder Dempster Lines cargo. It seems that, on her sale to the Maldives in September 1977, she was to be renamed GEORGIOS but never sailed as such. She departed for Gdansk as GEORGIA.
