Eburna was a STUFT unit for the Falklands she had hundreds of drums of Lub oil in the forward store and on the foredeck, as well as some most unusual parcels of fuel, when she left to catch up with the Task Force.
In August 1914 the first Eburna was the first tanker to pass through the Panama Canal from the Atlantic to the Pacific under the command of Captain H. Jackson. She was bound from Port Arthur, Texas to Vladivostock.
