Built by Mitsui, Chiba ( 1123) in 1979. 31,374 dwt. Chartered to Shell Eastern , Singapore and operated from Pulau Bukom for the two trips I sailed on her. Pacific & Far East areas in 1979 & 1980.

Forgot to say this is another Shell Tankers postcard. Photo was while she was on trials in 1979 and Mt. Fuji is in background.

hi i also sailed on the eburna and the ervillia in the 80s doing the carribean run, took aid to fiji when she was struck by hurricain

Hi Paul, see you did two trips aboard her too. Not a bad ship to live and work on . Also called at Fiji a few times - three discharge ports usually - Vuda Point, Vatia and lastly Suva. great days. Regards, Rick

Eburna was a STUFT unit for the Falklands she had hundreds of drums of Lub oil in the forward store and on the foredeck, as well as some most unusual parcels of fuel, when she left to catch up with the Task Force.

In August 1914 the first Eburna was the first tanker to pass through the Panama Canal from the Atlantic to the Pacific under the command of Captain H. Jackson. She was bound from Port Arthur, Texas to Vladivostock.
