I find beauty in almost all vessels and try to refrain from criticizing any one's design. You can see the strong European influence in recent US new builds. Edison Chouest has a strong relationship with Ulstine(he even named one of his vessels after Ulstine's daughter, Ingrid). Eastern shipbuilding and Trinity's current building spree use modified STX designs.
Interesting to see that the EF has additional accommodation containers on maindeck, and a hydraulic gangway on the stern. The EF successfully connected to BONGA FPSO in Nigeria back in 2003 - with a full aft deck of accommodation.
I visited the vessel a year ago in Stavanger - still in first-class condition, and extremely well-operated. A credit to the owners and crews.
