Hello!
The ELLEN was a steel three-masted topsail schooner (in fact a topgallant schooner) built in 1914 by N.V.Scheepswerven v/h G.Bodewes, in Martenshoek. Hans Petersen, of Marstal (Denmark) bought her from the builders and named her FRITZ. Tonnage: 296 grt and 228 nrt. Dimensions: 123.9 x 25.7 x 11.1 ft. In 1920 Petersen renamed her ELLEN. She was wrecked November 11th.1928 off Capbreton (North of Bayonne) while on passage Santander towards Bayonne.

She was a registret from 1915 to 1920 as Fritz and from 1921 as Ellen or Eilen. Hans Petersen was one of the biggest Marstal owners.
