Where is the main Banana port these days? I remember back in 54 at Port Antonio in Jamaica, watching them do the calypso thing in real life. endless lines of guys carrying bunches of bananas up the gangway and coming down the next one to go round again, with the Tally man stood at the gangway.
Why does that make me feel so damn old? Because Deborah Kerr was at Hotel there and she hadn't made The King and I yet, and Errol Flynn had his yacht at Navy Island opposite where the banana's were loaded. I guess that means I must be old as I feel eh?
