I once sailed on the Ocean Monarch Shaw Savill line when I was 12 years old before she was scrapped and the Empress of England is a dead ringer for her is the same ship ?

I've just found your question, Bradley, and if it's not too late to answer - yes, Shaw Savill's Ocean Monarch was originally the Empress of England.

That's what I call a ship. Not like these monstrosities they build nowadays.

BTW have you seen the RN's 'new' fisheries protection vessels...horrible.
