Not sure how I got this shot - I must have been on another ship at the time. I think it is the entrance to Sydney.

This is neither Essex nor Otaki ... their superstructure is somewhat lower and boat davits less prominent
However, the other pic posted is either Essex or Otaki, of that I'm reasonably sure. But which I don't know unless there are rigging differences than can be checked off against the Otaki image already in this archive

I am sure this is Middlesex. Along with Cornwall, Surrey and Nottingham she was built in the early 50s but was the only one of the class with a lattice radar tower.

Limited refrigerated space of 84,400 cu.ft.
Launched by A. Stephen & Son 1952 delivered to Federal April 1953.
Sold to BI 1968, renamed Jelunga. Transferred to P&O GCD 1973.
Renamed Strathleven 1975. To breakers at Gadani Beach 1978
