The only T2 I ever worked on. She was a frequent visitor to the Tyne and I assumed she was coasting. Informed that much had been updated such as wooden furniture. The Chief Engineer built a small cabin cruiser in the forad hold and understand that it was off loaded in the Tyne

I sailed on the Esso Glasgow, in 1958, not long after her lengthening and conversion for the Coastal trade which, took place in H&W Belfast, she was a nice ship to work, the first tanker that I had sailed on with Whesso Guages. The master was Capt. R.J.Davies.

I was R/O on her from early '67 to the end of '70.
A fine old girl!
