Falstria

Unknown ship, possibly East Asiatic Co, with that profile, but I have no similar photo to identify.

Must be one of the first diesel powered ships without visible funnel, because the mast was used instead. Could be Danish EAC's Falstria? Built 1912 in Gowan.

Agree with Rolf - could be Falstria of EAC - built 1914 by the Harland & Wolf Govan Shipyard at Glasgow and delivered in 1915.

In 1919 her hull was painted black - so the photo was properly taken between 1915 - 1919.

Apart from the mainmast, what a familiar arrangement for many years to come.

Astra, you are right.
My first source was wrong, she is built/delivered i 1915. And I wrote Gowan, shall be Govan.

If the identification is correct, the picture was probably taken in 1919, otherwise there would have been neutrality markings!
