Thanks very much for posting these very interesting photo's of vessel's my father in law sailed on during the war. They both look so small by today's standards!
An analogy would be that I sailed mate on several C-2's during the Vietnam War and they all seemed plenty big to me at the time. Years later, I was piloting a small passenger vessel that regularly called in San Francisco and thinking how small she seemed. I started looking at her specifications and found she was the exact same size as a C-2 that seemed so large when I was sailing on them.
